I am an herbalist, a gardener, an artist, an entrepreneur, a mom, a wife......I like to wear a lot of hats. I started to become interested in beekeeping several years ago and it just seemed so crazy and impossible. I mean, I knew nothing--I had no clue!! Then we took a trip to British Columbia and I met this very young woman selling her honey at a local farmers market. We started talking and we ended up touring her apiary. I was mesmerized and felt so empowered after meeting her.

When we returned home I immediately found a mentor--it wasn't easy. I searched and googled away trying to find someone willing to teach a "newbie". Well I finally found an amazing man who has been beekeeping for over 20 years. He is kind and patient and taught me and my husband how to keep our hives happy and healthy. It is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done, being a beekeeper I mean, and I would not have it any other way. I love and respect my tiny bee friends with all my heart.
